When I'm at sea on watch. Its usually around first light, there's not a breath of wind and the sea looks like a mirror, you can hear the wash of the yacht and see the ripples you are creating as you move through the water with effortless grace. Those moments always still my heart and free my soul. Im at home again.
Advice for the next generation
Be determined, there are many who'll doubt you and there are some who will see your potential. Only you can get yourself where you want to be, and when you do it will be one of the most rewarding feelings. If your ship doesn't come in, swim out to it!
